General Information Regarding Circleville Traffic Division

        You may visit the Circleville Traffic Division during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. The Traffic Division is located in the Circleville Municipal Court on the second floor. Please review all information on both the front and back of the citation that was issued to you. The waiver schedule can be accessed through this site under Waiver Information.

Payment Information

        The Court accepts payment by cash, money order or Visa/MasterCard . Money orders should be made payable to the Circleville Municipal Court, and can be mailed. Please include a copy of the citation, citation number or dear motorist letter when mailing your payment.

        Court costs are a minimum $75.00 for violations. These costs can not be waived if a person is found guilty, unless the Court makes a determination the person is indigent. If you go to trial, there may be additional costs incurred for subpoenas, witness fees, etc. These fees are in addition to the minimum court costs.

Pleading Not Guilty Explanation

If you wish to plead not guilty you must either:

  1. Appear in court on the date and time specified on the citation and enter a verbal not guilty plea, or
  2. Enter your not guilty plea in writing by the date and time on the citation. You may also check Section Two (2) on the dear motorist letter and mail it to the Court. You must have the citation number, your complete name and address and a phone number at which you can be reached. Based on the not guilty plea the Court will set a trial date and will notify you by mail of your court date.

Continuances

        The Clerk's Office can grant one (1) continuance of your original arraignment date of up to seven (7) days from your originally scheduled date and time, unless you have been charged with DUI or you have posted bond on the case. You may also mail a request for continuance by checking Section Three (3) on the dear motorist letter.
